Background:
The client was struggling to find a suitable solution to the handling of customer returns, resulting in punitive landfill costs for the disposal of the goods
Constraints:
The client was clear that the returned goods could not be re-sold under their brand name and any stock sold on their behalf would need to be de-branded
Approach:
• XPD collects the customer returns weekly from the retailer and prepares the stock for onward sale removing all references to the original retailer
• XPD selects the appropriate channel to sell through the goods – bulk buyers, UK based telesales teams, on line auctions and on line sales channels
Outcome:
• To date the client has received in excess of £300k in revenue from the sale of customer returns via XPD
• Zero landfill costs to the client since engaging with XPD
• Established wide base of bidders and buyers securing significant bulk sales
