Hugh graduated with first class honours in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde. In his career to date he has been an integral member of the executive team which transformed Thomson Travel Group leading to its sale to TUI Germany, he was commercial director on the executive team that turned around the performance of P&O Ferries leading to its sale to Dubai Ports World in 2005 and was a member of the four man executive team that increased the enterprise value of BrightHouse stores from £90m to £170m in an eighteen month period prior to its sale to Vision Capital in August 2007. Hugh’s early career was spent at Mars Confectionery and RHM Foods. He then moved on to spend several years in senior commercial and marketing roles in Kingfisher and then DSGi. Since 2008 Hugh has focussed on developing XPD into a leading player in the UK and European stock liquidation sectors.
Mark has huge senior retail experience across several sectors including a number of years gaining valuable experience in the insolvency sector. Primarily operations focussed Mark brings a sales drive to XPD combined with an entrepreneurial and strong people bias. Results driven, Mark has an exceptional track record in achieving and exceeding targets for our clients. Having spent most of his career in blue chip retail organisations, Mark has a proven ability to develop and motivate others to their highest potential. Since 2008 Mark has focussed on developing XPD into a leading player in the UK and European stock liquidation sectors.
The XPD team includes an extensive network of employees and associates from frontline operatives through to senior finance and account management. From a standing start in 2008 XPD is now an established and leading player in the UK and European stock clearance markets.
